How to add Motorola BACKUP to your phone |
The Motorola BACKUP application is included on some new models of phones. However, if Motorola BACKUP did not come with your phone, you can add it easily. (Your phone must appear in the list of supported models — see supported phones page.) Here´s how to add the application to your own phone:
- On the Motorola BACKUP website, choose your phone model and mobile operator from the combo boxes on the Get Motorola BACKUP page. If combo boxes are not available, skip this step and start with the next step.
- Using your mobile phone, text the displayed keyword to the displayed number on the Get Motorola BACKUP page.
- The Motorola BACKUP website sends an SMS message to your phone with instructions that download the Motorola BACKUP application to your phone.
- With the message open on your phone´s display, press the Menu key and choose Go To. The phone connects, and then asks your permission to download.
- Motorola BACKUP tells you when the download is complete. Your phone then automatically installs the application and tells you when the installation is complete.
